SATURDAY 26th JANUARY 2008

6.30 am

Gates Open
Ensure that you are early for plenty of track time.

7.00am -

Scrutineering
All entrant cars to be scrutineered.

7.45am, 8.15am, 4.00pm

Driver briefing
All entrants are required to sit one session each day. Entrants will not be able to go in any events until this 15 minute briefing has been completed. Driver briefing to be held in the Calder Park Chapel

8.00am – 9.30am

Supercruz – super session 1
Your chance to cruz the track with your mates 18 and over. This session will be speeds up to 130kms. Other cars cruzing will include many elite show cars, street machines, imports, hotrods and others will be gassed up, supercharged or turbo-charged. This is a chance to cruz with some of the toughest cars seen in Australia. Again an opportunity to show off and gain entry for the Sunday final.
This session is for the organised people who are early to the track.

9.00am – 4.00pm

Dyno Shootout
A chance to see how much horsepower your car actually produces. Prize money will be given away for overall horsepower as well as other classifications. We hope to see some cars produce over 1000 horsepower.

9.45am – 11.15am

Super Straight Line Burnout – practice
This is a chance to show others how far you can spin the wheels in a straight line. Get the wheels spinning, jump off the brake and see how far down the track you can go. This is a real crowd pleaser. See Milan Dokic in his Blown Camaro putting on a show.

11.30pm – 12.30pm


Supercruz - Family Session 1
This will be the first family cruz session for the weekend. Enjoy a cruz around the track at a slow pace. This is a cruzing session for the family at speeds of up to 60 kph. (discussed at driver briefing)
Cars will still be judged to see who qualifies for the Supercruz final. 30 cars will be chosen for Sunday afternoon.

Go to Whoa Drag – Shootout 1
Two cars will go head to head over a 100 metre sprint. The first car to stop on line will go through to the next round. This will be a knockout competition until there is a winner. If you are knocked out feel free to join the Family session of the Supercruz
Prize Money: $500 winner. $250 runners up

Show and Shine
See some of Victoria’s / Australia’s best cars on display. There will be some interstate cars contesting so come on Victoria lets see what class you can bring to the event. Prizes and trophies are up for grabs for individuals in classes.

2.45pm – 4.00pm

Doughnut Challenge
Drive 100 meters, do 2 doughnuts around the tyres and race back to stop on the finish line. This will be a timed event. Let's see how many cars can actually be quick and smooth around the tyres. I am sure this event is harder than it looks.
Prize Money: $500 winner. $250 runners up

2.45pm – 4.00pm

 

Open session - Grandstand
Each car will have around 1 minute in the pit for fun. Burnouts, Doughnouts and anything else you can do to please the crowd.

4.15pm – 4.30pm

Prizes and giveaways
Over $20,000 in prizes will be given away over the 2 days for all prepaid spectators and entrants including a blown 350 chev show motor.

4.30pm – 4.45pm

Some of the cars to be invited are Craig Gerdes (7.10), Tristan Ockers (7.55), Steve Athans (7.55) Mark Hayes (7.84), Craig Hewitt (8.17), Mick McGrath (8.23) and Brett Bottriell (8.45). This is 7 of the top 10 Pro

4.45pm – 6.00pm

Drag Shootout – practice / qualifying
One - Two DYO runs.

6.15pm – 11.15 pm

Drag Shootout DYO 13.000 - over
The drag shootout is for cars that have dialled in at 13.000 secs and over. See event description
Winner of each run will go through to the next round. No time to re fuel or make a change, straight to the back of the line for another run.
Prize money: $1000 winner. $500 runners up

The drag shootout is for cars that have dialled in between 10.000 secs and 12.999 secs. See event description

The drag shootout is for cars that have dialled in under 10 secs. See event description
Winner of each run will go through to the next round. No time to re fuel or make a change, straight to the back of the line for another run.
Prize money: $1750 winner. $900 runners up

11.15pm – 11.30pm

This is your chance to see what sort of horsepower or kilowatts your car actually produces at the back wheels. There are some big number cars coming along and we may even see the magical 1000 horsepower mark being achieved.

Supercruz – Final
This will be for the top 30 cars that have put on the best show over the 3 super sessions and 2 family sessions. This will be a slow cruz for the crowd to see what car have been judged the best cruzers.
Prize Money: $500 will go to the car that has impresses to crowd the most.

4.00pm – 6.00pm

Drag Shootout 2
Heads up drag racing with no track prep to even up the field and a rolling start! This will be a shootout of skilful driving rather than the car with the most horsepower.
Prize money $1000 for winner, $500 for runners up

6.00pm – 6.15pm
