Super Straight Line Burnout |
|
This is a chance to show others how far you can spin the wheels in a straight line. Get the wheels spinning, jump off the brake and see how far down the track you can go. The smoke screens will be so thick that the fire department might show up! For anyone who has not seen a straight line burnout, you are in for a big surprise.
This is your chance to see what sort of horsepower or kilowatts your car actually produces at the back wheels. There are some big number cars coming along and we may even see the magical 1000 horsepower mark being achieved. Prize money will be given away for overall horsepower in classes. Blowers, Nitrous and turbo’s are encouraged.

Open Session - Grandstand |
|
Each car will have around 1 minute in the pit for fun. Burnouts, Doughnuts and anything else you can do to please the crowd.
See some of Victoria’s / Australia’s best cars on display. There will be some interstate cars contesting so come on Victoria lets see what class you can bring to the event. Prizes and trophies are up for grabs for individuals in classes.
How sideways can you get. One car at a time will get an opportunity to strut their stuff. Judges will decide which car makes the most smoke and keeps the car sideways the longest.
Entrants need to combine skill off the start with the soft squeeze of the brake pedal to stop on the line. Two cars will go head to head over a 100 metre sprint. The first car to stop on the line will go through to the next round. This will be a knockout competition until we have a winner.
Drive 100 meters, do 2 doughnuts around the tyres and race back to stop on the finish line. This will be a timed event. Let's see how many cars can actually be quick and smooth around the tyres. I am sure this event is harder than it looks.
There will be no crappy cars in this burnout event. You will see some tough cars hanging some mean burnouts. Entrants will get just one shot and 90 seconds to impress the crowd.
Judges will be looking for instant smoke, doughnuts and tyre blowing. Can you believe that this is encouraged?

Sunday afternoon will consist of a rolling start. This is to even up the whole field for some interesting runs. The highest horsepower car may not necessarily be the winner.
